- 1 خدایا، تو را ستایش می کنیم و تو را سپاس می گوئیم! زیرا نام تو به ما نزدیک است و مردم کارهای عجیب تو را بیان می کنند.
- 2 خداوند می فرماید: «هنگامیکه به وقت معین برسم، با عدالت داوری خواهم کرد.
- 3 اگرچه زمین و همۀ ساکنین آن در حال ذوب شدن هم باشند، من ارکان آنرا استوار نگاه می دارم.
- 4 به متکبران می گویم که مغرور نباشند و شریران به قدرت خود نبالند،
- 5 بلند پروازی نکنند و از روی سرکشی سخنان تکبرآمیز نگویند.»
- 6 زیرا سرافرازی نه از شرق، نه از غرب و نه از بیابان و نه از کوهها می آید،
- 7 بلکه تنها خدا داور است. او است که یکی را سرافراز و دیگری را سرافگنده می سازد.
- 8 در دست خداوند کاسه ای است که مملو از شراب تلخِ آمیخته با غضب او است. او آنرا می ریزد و همۀ شریران جهان باید تا آخرین قطره از آن بنوشند.
- 9 اما من تا به ابد اعلام کرده و برای خدای یعقوب سرود ستایش می خوانم.
- 10 شاخ افتخار شریران تماماً بریده شده، اما قدرت راستکاران برافراشته خواهد شد.
