- 3 زبان شان چون نیش مار تیز و سخنان آن ها مثل زهر کشنده است.
- 4 ای خداوند، مرا از دست شریران نگهدار، از ظالمان مرا محافظت فرما که نقشه می کشند تا پاهای مرا بلغزانند.
- 5 مردم متکبر برای من تله و ریسمانها پنهان کرده و در سر راهم دام گسترده و برای گرفتاری من طناب ها گذاشته اند.
- 6 به خداوند گفتم: «تو خدای من هستی. ای خداوند، آواز عذر و زاری مرا بشنو!»
- 7 ای خداوند متعال که قوّت نجات من هستی، تو سر مرا در روز جنگ می پوشانی.
- 8 ای خداوند، مگذار که مردم شریر به مراد خود برسند و نقشه های پلید خود را عملی کنند، مبادا سرافراشته شوند.
- 9 بگذار که سَرِ دشمنانم با شرارتِ لبهای خود شان پوشانیده شود.
- 10 بگذار که قوغهای آتش بر سر ایشان بریزد و در آتش انداخته شوند و در جای عمیقی بیفتند که دیگر از آن نتوانند برخیزند.
- 11 مردم بدگو در زمین پایدار نخواهد ماند. مرد ظالم را شرارت صید خواهد کرد تا او را هلاک کند.
- 12 می دانم که خداوند فقیران را دادرسی می کند و مسکینان را داوری می نماید.
- 13 عادلان نام تو را سپاس می گویند و راستکاران به حضور تو ساکن می شوند.
